David has a broad commercial litigation practice, specialising in cases in the following areas:

Commercial litigation (including business and landlord/tenant disputes);

Building and construction claims and disputes;

Planning, environment and local government matters;

Professional liability/negligence matters (including cases involving engineers, architects, building surveyors and lawyers); and

Insurance disputes

David completed an Engineering degree in the 1980’s and worked for many years as a civil engineer before commencing at the Bar.   He also holds a Master of Laws degree and a Master of Environmental and Local Government Law degree.

BIOGRAPHY

David has a broad commercial litigation practice, specialising in commercial, building and construction and planning and environment cases. He is also regularly briefed in local government matters.

David completed an Engineering degree in the 1980s and worked for many years as a civil engineer before commencing at the Bar. He has been briefed in a wide range of building and construction cases.

David acts in, and advises on, appeals and enforcement/prosecution matters under planning, local government and environment protection legislation. He holds a Master of Environmental and Local Government Law degree and worked as a solicitor at the EPA Victoria. Many of David’s cases involve contaminated land issues, landfills, recycling or resource recovery facilities and the application and interpretation of EPA publications, policies, regulations and procedures.
